With the retirement of The Honorable Gerald Bruce Lee in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, our Senators are seeking applicants for this judicial vacancy.

In a joint letter, Senators Warner and Kaine said that after their independent review, including the recommendations of Virginia bar associations, they look “to maintain the quality, integrity and diversity of the Eastern District bench.”

Any candidates seeking VTLA recommendation should submit all materials to Valerie O’Brien by September 25. While looking ahead to a new judge, many of us at VTLA stop to honor and praise the incredible service of Judge Lee. Best wishes for a wonderful retirement!
